Pimp your iPhone – iDress!

May 31st, No comments

I LOVE my iPhone. Starting with a 3G I had the 3GS and for half a year now I own a iPhone4. I rarely use it for calls, more often I text on it, but most of all it is my personal “communicator” – I email, surf the net and use many of the helpful apps. Naturally, I want to protect that piece of hardware, especially because I have two little kids. For the recent months I used a BELKIN cover.

But then I came across something much better: the iDress Phone! I have choosen the Premium Leather version, very stylish and elegant. My (female) colleagues of course prefer Carbon White and of course Pink Ultra Metal. :-)

Antje on the net: antjebeyer.de

When I helped Mario to relaunch his website, the original job was to set up a homepage for his wife Antje instead. Although the launch of a website is quick and easy with WordPress we only managed to do the basic setup on this day. However, I am looking forward to continue with this site soon.

Mario on the net: mariobeyer.de

Already years ago I helped my friend Mario to launch his website. Like mine, it was written in bad HTML with a lot of animated GIF-pictures. More than two pages were never published. Probably not such a loss…

The homepage was finally planned to be relaunched in winter 2007. Of course I recommended WordPress. Together with Mario I did the basic installation and first set up. Again we managed to publish two pages in the first run. Let’s see if there will be more this time.

My first website went online with bad HTML and lot of animated GIF-pictures in 1997 already. 2000 I launched another one about my internship at the Wall Street in New York. These two homepages were (and still are) hosted by Angelfire (a advertising finance free hosting service). In 2003 I bought my own domain. Here I launched my first “really own” homepage. In 2006 I started a small website under another domain for my freelance work as consultant/controller. But worth mentioning is only the relaunch of my private homeage in summer 2007.

Since I changed from the print to the online business in the team of New Media International I felt I have to relaunch my old and “rusty” page. Until now I was only a “heavy user”, in my new job I learned a lot about webdesign. My colleagues recommended WordPress, which makes modern webblogging easy. In the meantime I know WordPress quite well, and thanks to several great plugins many features of “big sites” are available on my blog as well.
